to celebrate, i drew this Hangenki fanart. Because i am a major Hangenki fan.

Hangenki (meaning "half-life") is a story created by my dear friend
There are a total of 6 parts to the story, and these characters are the main characters of the 1st season of Hangenki.


Story Setting:

In the world of Hangenki, 3 races are in balance: Angels, Demons, and Humans.
A Half-Life is a person with a mixed blood of these separate races.

Long ago, Angels and Demons were engaged in a war.
A new race called Humans had come into existance.
The two races fought over who will be the "god" of the new race.
The most powerful angel warrior Echo confronted the most powerful demon warrior Echoside.
The war went on for several milleniums.
During the never-ending battle, Echo seals both Echoside's and his soul into their swords.
The two swords fall into the human world.
The fall of their leaders temporarily stops the war.

Angels fall back from trying to influence the humans, for their loss was too great from the war. But they did not search for their leader Echo, because they knew the Sword was safe from the demons...

Demons, lost without their leader, began massive invasion of the human world in search for him.
Kenji, the King of the Land of White, the greatest royal nation of humans, organized a military group called the King's Army, to fight the demons.
Heihatchi, a member of the King's Army, is kicked out of the group after his failure on an important mission. He searches for the demon sword Echoside in lust for power, and he discovers it.
As soon as he touches the demon sword, Echoside steals his soul, and Heihatchi becomes a demon.
He massacres the King's Army, except for the elites Icchiro and Hiroyuki who he could not easily kill... for the time being......

With King's Army out of the way, the reign of the new demon lord, Heihatchi, is about to begin...



Characters:

SO! Now i'll introduce the characters in the picture!

The main character of Hangenki: Yoshiro Fujasawa!!!
He is the guy with the white outfit.
He is the son of Icchiro Fujasawa, the man Heihatchi couldn't kill along with the other King's Army warriors.
During Icchiro and Heihatchi's battle, Icchiro touches the Echoside, trying to snatch it away from his former comrade Heihatchi, and gets his soul stolen, turning him into a demon.
So his son Yoshiro... is a Half-Life..! dun dun dun!
He seeks revenge for the death of his father.
cause Heihatchi eventually kills him, along with Yoshiro's mother when Yoshiro was just a kid.
He is raised and trained by Hiroyuki (the other man that survived Heihatchi's massacre, along with Icchiro).

The pretty blonde girl with dreads! Her name is Angel.
She is a rather mysterious girl who always sticks by Yoshiro's side. Daaawww, isn't dwat adowabul???
and yes, on the battle field, she kicks major demon butt.
She was also raised and trained by Hiroyuki.

Lucy! the cute red-head! She is also a Half-Life! Her father fell in love with a demon girl. hahaha. i guess she was sexy or something..*cough*
Anyways, Lucy's dad was also a member of the King's Army, but he quit after falling in love with the (sexy) demon girl, so he didn't get masacred by Heihatchi.
But later on, Heihatchi comes after him and kills him. Lucy's mother gets killed by fellow demons while trying to protect Lucy. Then Hiroyuki comes and fights off the demons, and takes care of Lucy.

and finally, Vincent!
He is a Summoner. The last of his kind.
Hiroyuki saved him from getting killed by the demons.

So these four are the pupils of the great warrior Hiroyuki!
Their demon-hunting adventure awaits them..

I don't know what his plans are for this story concerning publication, but i loved it, so i drew a fanart of it. lol
