I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Man, why is it so hard for me to keep up with my online accounts, like DA or facebook or whatever. I just.. I never check them regularly. I check them in short bursts, if that makes sense. Anybody else do that?

Anyway, new school semester has started for me. Second semester in Arts & Technology. Exciting.

I'm taking 18 hours this semester so I'll be pretty swamped. Plus I need to look for a job too...

GAWD. I wanted to finish the commissions batch from last year before school started...
but damn Skyrim and Dungeon Defenders on Steam have been swallowing up all my time.
CURSE YE ADDICTIVE GAMES! CURSE YEEEE!

Anyway. Hope all of you guys have a wonderful semester.
And if you don't go to school anymore then... well. Have fun at work.
And if you don't work either then... well. you know... do something you bum.
Unless you're a house-wife. Which is like a full-time job, I hear.

in regards to the item sorting thing, i'm not much of a PC gamer, and I really wanted to keep using the controller so I downloaded a program to use the PS3 controller

It's awesome. Oh yea once the creation kit comes out I plan to make my dream home, i'm still looking for the most gorgeous spot though. probably around markarth or riften.

There will be a creation kit? Ha ha that'd be pretty awesome.. but I probably won't use it. I've pretty much beaten everything except the Dark Brotherhood or the Civil War quests.. I kinda fell out of Skyrim after I beat the main quest line. It just wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I'll probably go back to beat Dark Brotherhood and Civil War quests, but after that I'll be done with it. lol it gets kinda repetitive after a while. I'm way more into Dungeon Defenders these days, but I'll probably stop playing that too now that school's started back. It's such a time-sinker.
